My LX has a headlight alarm that beeps if you leave the lights on. This
alarm has now failed. The seatbelt alarm, which I think uses the same
    noisemaker, still works OK.

Does this sound like a case for headlight switch replacement? The car is
still under warranty, but replacing that switch sounds like a big deal for a
small problem that doesn't affect drivability.

It almost certainly is not the light switch. Your headlights and dash
    lights still work, right?

Does your dome light come on when you open the driver's door? On a '96
Accord I once worked on the head light alarm would come on if the lights
were on and the driver's door was open. If the door switch (same as the
one for the dome light) on the driver's side is broken the head light
alarm will not work. Not sure if that is how it works on your car
    though.
